Deerhunter/ Atlas Sound/ Lotus Plaza are my favourite group of musicians. I had a chance to meet Bradford Cox after an intimate show (about 30 people) in Atlanta, GA in October of 2009. I’ve met other musicians after shows before, but I’ve decided that Bradford is probably the nicest guy in music that I will meet.
Anways, about a year ago on the band’s blog, he had fans e-mail him a story of theirs and he would try to write a song about it. There was one fan, Madeline who had a heart condition and wrote the song Children’s Hospital (Screaming in the Face of Death #2) The file is too large to post on here, but you can read more (and download the track) about the story of both Bradford and Madeline at the Deerhuter blog. Today marks the one year the song was posted.
